Phil Hooton feat. Testament – King Of Kings
‘King Of Kings’ is one of the biggest tunes for years on the Soulful House scene. The combination of an old skool inspired Chicago House (‘Love Can’t Turn Around’ meets ‘Move Your Body’) bass line, uplifting lyrics, storming gospel vocals and spoken intro by Ron ‘Back Together’ Carroll has proved impossible to resist on the dancefloors all over the world via White Label plays.
The first 12” contains Phil’s original vocal mix which runs out for a massive 9:44 and is flipped with the massively popular Terry Hunter remix defining the US slant on the Soulful House sound. The second 12” contains Phil’s self-explanatory Bang The Party Sax Jam and is flipped with RC’s Chicago Hop Mix – to see things taken deeper and darker. Together they complete a scintillating package that shot to #3 in the DMC and #5 in the Music Week club chart and has crossed over from specialist to regular club dancefloor action.

Morris T & Fjrmo feat. Barbara Tucker – Let Me Be
This summer’s smash from Oxyd’s hottest signing to date gets a full UK release from suSU with a fresh batch of mixes from Problem Kid Mark Wilkinson, with Italian duo Morris T and the illusive Firmo acting as the brawn behind this classy vocal production.
Sporting the incredible soulful tones of US vocal veteran Barbara Tucker, combined with this awe inspiring selection of dancefloor groovers, suSU certainly lays out a succulent helping of soul food here.
And what can we say about our man Wilko? Dishing up an epic piano fuelled, bass bumping floor rocker, (try saying that after a few jars), Problem Kid and Kidology head honcho Mark Wilkinson provides the perfect compliment to the lush groove of the 7th District Club mix by way of a chunky dub and a mind blowing vocal mix.

Solitaire – I Like Love (I Love Love)
Some dance records are such solid gold anthems that they never go away.
The original mix of ‘I Like Love (I Feel Love)’ came out on suSU 2 years ago and was instantly hailed as an instant classic of the funky house/disco house genres. Now, the little beauty is back, stronger than ever, thanks to stonking new mixes by Bobby Blanco and Mike Moto, both of which are causing a massive stir on the underground.
This is just perfect for all the DJ’s just itching for another excuse to start playing the brilliant ‘I Like Love’ one more time…
