Kim English is one of the outstanding artists in the history of dance music, a true front runner of soulful house, with a stream of classics. She is equally liked by DJ’s and record buyers alike – and has a healthy fan base who buy her every single.
suSU released Kim’s Drizabone style throwback single ‘Simply Grateful’ last year to rapturous acclaim and ‘C’est La Vie’ is a right worthy follow up, with it’s classical Maurice Joshua Chicago production and uplifting lyrics making it an instant favourite for house heads.
Jon Culter of ‘It’s Yours’ fame puts his hands to the remix resulting in a real tour de force, with Culter reinforcing the soulfulness of the original, but taking it to another level.

Hi Planes Drifters – Showdown
‘Hi Planes Drifters – Showdown’ is a Spanish guitar influenced track, that has been setting dancefloors alight for quite sometime now.
Representing something slightly different to the usual soulful sound of suSU, this tune is much more of a peak time roller, guaranteed to fill the floor of any superclub.
As main room orientated as the track is, it still manages to succeeds in maintaining the inspiring, uplifting house vibe synonymous with the label.

7HQ – The Rainfall
South East London exceptional live soul band 7HQ, aka soul vocalist Ricardo, Lee Burnett and Rees Bridges, touch down on planet suSU and unveil their floor smashing debut single ‘The Rainfall’. Oozing with lush heartfelt vocals, tagged with an infectious harmonious chorus that bubbles over piping hot grooves, ‘The Rainfall’ comes tailored with four different mixes providing some serious shape making inducing fodder ripe for any party.
Two of the mixes come courtesy of Portsmouth’s multi-talented remix producer Groovefinder aka Barry Barnett, with the full vox mix adopting a US garage flava, embracing the song and featuring dramatic breakdowns that launch into a bubbling groove of warm keys and funky guitars. The Dark Dub mix carries a deeper vibe, with a large chunky bass groove, whilst the Funky Guitar Mix opts for a slightly more retro vibe, upping the tempo and riddled with classic house flava. The firey sounds of the Latino Mix completes the package and features hints of classic Latino piano, fused with filtered vocals, all laid over furious percussion and pumping beats.
